My personal story you know...there are three blogs I organize and author are without this Santa Award. It is okay, and I begin to study each blogger who has been awarded this. Then I understooded because I prefer not to undersitted.

Remember this? I did not get it. My blogs are not Santa Certified.

Then I got the Santa Claus Official Hat.

Next this special one.

Watch out North Pole community, I presented these to Santa Claus

Because Santa Claus is all of the above and more. That is why he receives from me 4 in a go.

Next: I share this with you, because I know Santa Claus more than I know the BlogElf.

Santa Claus is a Real Magician.

He is so humble, I repeat once more time again, he is so humble. Yes, so nicenessnizationness, he has yet to reveal to us the
awesomenisationness of his one magical award.

His inner wisdom:
May Christmas this year bring you that ageless magic to fill the eyes and heart of the child in you.
As always,
Santa
Good if you are a grown up, I am still a child deep within me. Santa Claus knows this.

Clue:
Of all the awards, there is one Santa Claus shall deliver personally. He allows no one on behalf. I see there is real magic in this award. He is not telling us yet. Yet I already know. I know this is true. Please let us all sit on his laps...together,

I have just received a moment ago a GMail message from a very reliable source and very very close to Santa Claus.

He sincerely informs me, the term *blogworld* I mentioned in my earlier posting here actually it was Santa Claus who coined this, and these are becoming also popular usage within the blog world e-Community.

In fact, this source even spells these terms for me,
Blog World and Blogging World
First I prefer to thank this gentleman because he mention the spelling, perchance he knows from some where I am not so good with speeling, such as chimeney and cukiss.

What do you expect I am a Chinese, English is my mother tongue.

Next especially important to me,

Santa Claus, Sir...I salute you. You are my Blogger Star. I hope some beautiful lady with golden heart awards one on our behalf. In my closet emm, those four I presented you earlier, these are left last ones. No more...hahaha!

Christmas Art # 2

I have chosen the artist Andy Warhol this week.

Andy Warhol, The Christmas Last,1956
Tempera su legno, 22,5 x 13 x 6 cm, Collezione privata
© 2006 The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc.

Before achieving fame and glory as a leading Pop artist, Andy Warhol was a successful commercial artist who contributed illustrations to women's magazines and designed windows and promotional materials for department stores. Among his clients was Tiffany & Co., for whom he created a series of designs for holiday greeting cards. The whimsical drawings and paintings he produced for Tiffany's Christmas cards featured exuberant cherubs and acrobats, a reindeer snacking on watermelon, a playful monkey dangling an ornament from its tail, a gold-embossed Nativity, a high-heeled red ankle boot stuffed with holly, and Santa's sleigh packed with presents.

Greetings From Andy (Warhol): Christmas At Tiffany's

You shall go to the ball ... Christmas card by Andy Warhol, ca. 1955-60. Image: Andy Warhol Foundation/Corbis

November 2006 - "Mao" Portrait by Andy Warhol sold for a record $17.4M at auction. Andy Warhol's portrait of Communist Party Chairman Mao Zedong which he painted in the 1970's sold for $17.4 million, a world auction record for Andy Warhol. The painting measured 81" x 61". His 1962 work "Orange Marilyn" sold for $16.2 million and his 1964 work "Sixteen Jackies" sold for $15.6 million.

The Nice Terms

I just learn a term a moment ago as the beauty and I were discussing, and term is blogworld. I have heard of cyberworld and bloggosphere. I even introduce bloggarena, and now blogworld. Perhaps you have heard this before, yet this is my first.

Within this Blogworld we have been blogging the best way we know. Soon after adding individual bloggers into our own e-community, and each of us individually join other e-communities, we begin to learn from each other, the way to continuously improve our blogging passion.

Subtly, steadily and surely new elements come into being. I remember theblogfairy Francesca Faerie, in her wisdom showing pure and total love with some of us, as many as she could have, considering her nature being a fairy.

Adding to this wonderfulness is Santa Claus. My dearest friend with whom I celebrate Christmas Everyday.

I have not the slightest ting any sound but all goodness about theblogfairy Francesca Faerie, and the merrily Ho! Ho!! Ho!!! Santa Claus himself.

Of course at my blog all about me, I post the best labels about me. Then I proceed I begin to open up mentioning names other than me, beginning with Shueqry and more. Then I open more as Marzie my Best Friend Forever prefer to place comments at the blogs I organize and author. In doing so I am open also to spammers and what are similar. My love for Marzie is more important to me than these frutavergobongdanzenehs. While some scream "shoot the spammers", I only send them love and beauty now so as they begin side by side with us the enjoyment of blogging passion.

I know earlier there are individuals who see the intimidating me, and the confusion, "who the zong is this guy!" I sincerely express this is my blog, and I am having fun, postings the way I do, much like Frank Sinatra enjoy his my way. Earlier in blogging I also see a few bloggers extending an invasion nature telling me what to blog and what not to block at blog sites and pages I have total freedom.

Soon bloggers one by one begin to know and understand, and a few start to love me, and I begin to receive awards, and more than this, friendship, familyship, kinship, and many more ships...Oh what a ship.

Common, should you prefer to see, theblogfairy Francesca Faerie, Santa Claus, and me, is the enjoyment of giving. The giving includes Love, Merriness, and Technorati. Of course both of them give more than these.

Of late, I begin to hear for the first time, talks circulating at the back. The probability of backbiting.

As one who kung fu with the art of gentle oratory, I move as this or these individual comes. More than this, you gift me say word-craft-bomb I return to give you flowers. Fresh flowers.

Like me, I see when the goings get tough, the tough gets going.

However my concern now is, and thus this post, what about individuals who are throwing darts at each other, and the individuals who are hurt, being hurt, and cannot handle this.

I know these bloggers and I heard em' saying:
* I don't want to blog any more,
* Please I better go and die,
* I have decided to close my blog site,
* and what is similar.

I say, within this blogworld there is extra element of joy now for us to move from where we are for instance darting each other in front or at the back, onto the next level of blogging excitement.

Yes BlogElf.

Thankyou Zubli

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone,

My good friend Zubli from the Book Project has been having a spring cleanout of his cupboard and found 4 awards that he has so graciously given me. Only kidding Zubli!!

I am very grateful for his kind thoughts and the amazing post that he did about me and my blogs on his Book Project. Zubli is certainly a giver. I love that!!

I am never sure if I deserve awards that are given to me. To me I'm just doing what I always do so it's really special to be awarded for it. Thankyou so much.

This is also a very good time for me to officially give something to Zubli that I have trying unsuccessfully to send to him for about the past 4 or 5 days so I will do it here publicly to recognize him for all of his help and love and giving and good wishes.

Zubli, you are Santa's first (and as of now.. ONLY) Santa's Official Helper. You have the hat I already gave you and now you can wear it officially. I have allowed Zubli to officially award my Santa Certified Award on my behalf to those that deserve it. Zubli knows what is required to qualify and the awards are not just handed out all over the place. That is the reason I have not done what most people do and everyone passes the award on. There is certainly nothing wrong with that in any way. It's just that the awards that I have created are very personal to me. They are my personal thanks to the receiver. That's why they have my face on them. From me... to you... with thanks.

I will still be the only person awarding my Santa Award 4 Excellence because that is something that I give from my heart.

Thankyou Zubli

As always,

Santa ô¿ô

What? Santa Claus Go Through This Into Our House?

Can He Ho! Ho!! Ho!!! Spell What I Cannot Speel?

Yes folks, do you think our Santa Claus can spell what I previously cannot speel?

The spelling is, through what Santa Claus goes through into our house?

Can you spell this?

I cannot because, in Malaysia, most houses, we do not have it. So it is not a popular tunnellingnizationness that is most familiar to Santa Claus.

Another reason is, I am a Chinese, so English is my Mother tongue.

Therefore, I salute Santa Claus...
not only does he knows how to go through this, yet he can even spell it while his eyes closed.

Thanks a Million my Santa Claus.

For those whom English is our Mother tongue, the spelling is...

Let's here it from Santa Claus himself:

27th Aug 8:23 pm

Ho! Ho! Ho! Zubli. Just for you with my love and best wishes. CHIMNEY. Ho! Ho! Ho! ☺ Santa ô¿ô

So watch out people, now there are two individuals in this world who know how to spell *chimney*, and we both sure know how to go through this, your chimney into your house, and give gifts.

Err, how to spell coukiss?

Whatever, please provide coukiss and no hiding these please!!

Merry Christmas Everyday All...

You Can Still Give Santa Claus A Yea!

It's Wonderful to be there!!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

Well isn't this strange. I feel like I do on Christmas Eve sneaking about into someone's home to deliver something wonderful. Here I am in the Blog Fairy's home kicking my boots off and looking for where the cookies are hidden. (I know they're here somewhere). Is this my hat peg?

Firstly I want to thank my wonderfully good friends Gracie Belle and Zubli for inviting me to join them here. I feel very privileged and i promise I won't take this responsibility lightly.

More here...

Welcome my love Santa Claus. Gracie Belle informed me a moment ago, about your acceptance to our invitation. I exclaimed "Yeyabedabeduuuuu!!!". Gracie Belle places here the most wonderfully tasty cookies, hand home made by fairies. Since I waited and waited for your Ho! Ho!! Ho!!!, I ate a piece by piece. Gone! Well, a moment next, there shall be more, tonnes more for both of us, and for you to feel at home here. Welcome the serious Santa Claus who uphold some points truly meaningful. Santa Claus I Say Give Him a Yea!

Santa Claus The Real Magician

As one of the children of the world, earlier I have not a dot a relationship with Santa Claus.

I am glad now nearing 50 years young, I have a sweet chance to sit on his laps. No wonder children love this posture so much, Santa Claus is warmth, with the spirit of merrynizationness, in this world, he has no equal.

Long ago, I have silently love him from a far, with the wonder *do I belong in his list of names.*

I praise the Lord, in this garden MyBlogLog, he moves onto the next level of his merriness mastering the technological advancements, blogging, and thus receiving my awe and respect.

As a real magician myself, and having experience mini miracles in my life, I am raised to another level of blogging excitements and life fulfillments here after being touch by theblogfairy, Francesca Faerie, and of course Ho! Ho!! Ho!!! himself, my Santa Claus.

I remember our togetherness. Totally Awesome. There was peace, joy, harmony, and love beyond the universe shared here, between us, and the sharing with others.

We are inter-add, inter-join, and doing what we love and we love what we do.

Who is amongst men, a co-author of the Santa Community blog, including the three of us.

A moment ago I read this...

I suppose in a lot of ways my good friend Frannie Faerie and I were very alike. As she did, I love to seek out deserving people and reward without expecting anything in return.
Then
I mention it because my friend Frannie and I had a special bond that will be sorely missed. We had plans together to spread joy and happiness and it never quite happened.
And

Santa will continue to fill the world with happiness but with a bit of sadness at what might have been.

We will miss you Frannie. We all loved you!
Knowing this, I am move to propose a new vibrant teaming - a reunification - theblogfairy Gracie Belle, Santa Claus, and Zubli Zainordin. Possibly here, She Walks In Beauty blog.

This is because, at the core, the essence have not changed, the tradition remains, at the spot where there is a flower, a bud grows and now blooming gloriously the same flower, with the same fame.

I now pray, my wish for today's Christmas celebration, is this!

Yes, I do celebrate Christmas everyday. Especially today.

I shall be waiting at this chimeny (okay, once I get the spelling right), one who writes what my loving partner theblogfairy Gracie Belle and me writes - beauty, love, wisdom, and more, is Santa Claus.

At this moment we have
theblogfairy graciousness, zublizainordinjubilantnizationness...
...
...
...
the missing ingredient is merrynizationness.

So, I say...let us walk together, side by side her as She Walks In Beauty.

Let me, the only child here 50 years young, hear soon a Ho! Ho!! Ho!! please...

I shall be here to see what happen next...

The Blog Fairy

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

I have been sitting here today watching everything that is going on in Blog World and all the talk about what has happened to the Blog Fairy.

It is normal for me to sit here and just look around. I suppose in a lot of ways my good friend Frannie Faerie and I were very alike. As she did, I love to seek out deserving people and reward without expecting anything in return. I don't mention that to boost my ego at all. Just a fact.

I mention it because my friend Frannie and I had a special bond that will be sorely missed. We had plans together to spread joy and happiness and it never quite happened. I will miss her and I now wish her daughter Gracie Belle all the best. May she fulfil the same path as her mother spreading joy and peace and happiness wherever she goes.

Santa will continue to fill the world with happiness but with a bit of sadness at what might have been.

We will miss you Frannie. We all loved you!

As always,

Who of You will Help?

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

Today I am asking for your help. Santa doesn't do this very often but today is different. My good friend Joy from The Insane Writer has a problem.

Let me point out that she has not asked me to do this neither have I told her that I am and if that is wrong then I apologise. Sometimes though action needs to be taken rather than lots of words and empty promises. Someone needs to help.

I want you all to go to Joy's post titled "My Father will never Change" and I want us all to read it and reach into our hearts and find a way to fix this problem. I've known of Joy's problem with her son needing surgery for some time and things seemed fine and organized but now we have a crisis.

She has other problems that are not my right to discuss but for this situation surely one or two or even more of us can help.

I will leave it to you and trust.

Thankyou all,

Santa ô¿ô

One Angry Christmas

The One Christmas I can clearly remember as a child, ended with my grandmother tossing our gifts to her out the front door.

My parents never had much money and when Christmas came around, most of our gifts were already gently used since they could never afford much more than that. It never bothered me that our gifts were gently used, but one Christmas I remember an incident that happened when my grandmother received her Christmas gifts.

As usual my parents had carefully wrapped gently used gifts and then delivered them to family members. A few days later my father received a phone call from my grandmother. She had opened her Christmas gift and was very angry that the gift was not new. She had tossed our Christmas gifts out the front door and with it, school photos of my brother and I, that happened to be included among the gifts that year.

My father had tried to explain that he wasn't able to afford new gifts for anyone, but my grandmother refused to listen. She even went as far as telling his brothers and sisters that we were cheap and refused to buy new gifts for her. My father tried to defend himself, but his brothers and sisters refused to listen.

I remember standing in my uncle's living room as my uncle argued with my father at how selfish he was. I also remember my father being angry enough to blame my mother for what had happened.

Because of that Christmas, my parents stopped giving gifts to my grandmother. She never received school photos either and for a very long time, my father refused to talk to my grandmother. We were also not allowed to visit her for the longest time. At that time, it hadn't dawned on me how wrong my grandmother.

Gift giving comes from the heart. It doesn't matter if the gift is gently used, or homemade or something just done for another. Material things are just that, material. Christmas should come from the heart. Like my grandmother, I believe many people have forgotten that. It saddens me that many people feel angry if they don't receive what they think is the perfect gift. Sure, it's nice to receive something we've asked for. It's always nice. But it's not always practical or what others are thinking at the time.

This year, if someone happens to give you something you don't like, just smile and remember it came from the heart. If you react in a negative way, it can cause great pain to those who gave the gift. I know, I've been there more than once.

A Green Christmas

Oh boy you gotta love this. Santa's first Meme. He is such a jolly soul I couldn't say no. here are his questions and my answers.

  • What is your favorite Christmas gift? Truffles and cowboy boots
  • What is your best memory of Christmas? My favorite memory is getting our tree every year from a local tree farm. We were the only family allowed because they were not in business so we got to choose any one we wanted. It was a magical time. We hiked to the farm in the snow and pulled it home like a sleigh.
  • Depending on where you live do you have a hot or cold Christmas? I live where it snows for Christmas.
  • Would you prefer to try the opposite weather at least just once? I have lived where it is hot at Christmas and I didn't like it.
  • What do you prefer in a tree? Fake or real? My favorite is a living tree. I even decorate all the trees in my yard, including the native!!
  • What is your favorite Carol? White Christmas
  • What is your favorite Christmas Dinner? Oh my I love the works!
  • Do you wear a Santa Hat at Christmas? I don't have one or I would wear it!
  • Have you ever seen me delivering your gifts? Almost.

Now according to Santa I get to choose 5 to participate in the Meme. So keeping that in mind I have chosen my 5 "green girlfriends" Let's have ourselves a Green Christmas.

Looking for a long lost friend

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone

Our friends at NAFASG have asked that we post this:

Dear Readers,

We hope that you can spare some of your time reading this article.

It would mean a lot to one of our good friends in the blogosphere, if you can help her in this.

Our good friend named Sandy is currently searching for a person whom she had always regarded as her best friend. They were very close to each other, until a conflict between them arose. Ever since then, both of them lost touch of each other.

It has been nine long years since they last communicated with each other, and Sandy is deeply affected by her best friend’s absence. Her greatest wish right now is to reunite with her best friend and be close to her like before.

SANDY G

Her best friend’s name is Judy Sanford and is staying with her husband named Mike. According to Sandy, she was last found to be staying in California. Whether she is still staying in California or not is still a question mark. But you could be the person to answer the question!

If you happened to know Judy and her whereabouts, kindly inform us or inform Sandy directly via her blog. Even if you have never heard of Judy, you can still do your part by spreading this heartfelt message via your blogs.

Your immediate response to this message is greatly appreciated. What we are doing may be something small, but if all of us can put our hands together and be part of the search, it can bring two best friends together again after nine long years.

Sandy, please be strong in going through this obstacle in your life. Have great faith that miracles can happen, always look on the bright side of life, and believe that your long awaited wish could come true. We are here for you and will do our best to help you.

Judy, if you are reading this, please contact Sandy as soon as possible. She really misses you and wants to make up for the lost times. Let bygones be bygones. Hope that you will reciprocate Sandy’s feelings as soon as you can.
Hope this helps!!

Santa's New Meme

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

Well it seems that the world is full of memes. Mrs Claus tells me that it would be wonderful to hear about everyone's Christmas and said I should start a meme to find out.

So... with my standard answer of "Yes Dear!!", here it is:

What is your favorite Christmas gift?
What is your best memory of Christmas?
Depending on where you live do you have a hot or cold Christmas?
Would you prefer to try the opposite weather at least just once?
What do you prefer in a tree? Fake or real?
What is your favorite Carol?
What is your favorite Christmas Dinner?
Do you wear a Santa Hat at Christmas?
Have you ever seen me delivering your gifts?

Well don't want to make it too long. I'm really looking forward to the answers. This is wonderful!! Ho! Ho! Ho!

To start with I am sending this to:

Adrian (go figure!)

Pass it on to 5 more if you can. We'll all have a fantastic Christmas this year because we're already celebrating!!

I ♥ your Blog

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

I would like to thank Anne from "A Nice Place in the Sun" for this award. It isn't often that I receive things and it is especially wonderful to do so.

I want you to understand that I doesn't seek awards or even particularly think I deserve them but I really do appreciate them so much. Santa is learning how to accept gifts gracefully. A new experience!! and one that I do enjoy.

Thankyou Ann for your kind words and for this award.

Interview with Christy

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

Yes!! It's true. Christy from Christy's Coffee Break, A Hint of Poetry, Writer's Reviews, Illusion of Magic and of course Santa's Community Blog has been spending some time lately grilling me under the spot light to drag the deepest darkest secrets out from under my big red hat.

It has been a real experience. I have never been subjected to such close scrutiny before. However I'm not complaining because to talk to Christy is like talking to Mrs Claus and I love doing that. She is a wonderful, caring and delightful person and it's a real pleasure being able to share with her. Besides who can resist that smile!!!

Santa, as usual, is running late in giving Christy some extra information she asked for and has patiently waited for me to send it to her. It will be very very very soon.... I promise!!

I can't wait to read it myself!!

As always,

Santa

The Jolly Days Of Summer

Summer is coming to an end and I’ve been wondering what Santa has been up to lately. Everyone knows that Santa is very busy all year long planning Christmas, and now that Santa's started blogging he's busier than ever. But what does Santa do when he isn't working? Even Santa needs a break once in a while.

I began asking around to see if anyone had heard from Santa over the summer and I found out that there has been some very exciting Santa sightings. Apparently both Santa and Mrs. Claus have made quite a few appearances at Santa’s Village. Santa has even been taking early Christmas wish requests!

Rumor also has it that Santa was spotted surfing this summer at an undisclosed sunny destination. Could this be true? I called the North Pole to find out if Santa had been on a surfing vacation but I was told that this was top secret information.

I will be attempting to locate Santa to see if he will sit down with me for an in depth interview. If I am successful perhaps I’ll be able to get the inside scoop on what Santa does when he isn’t working hard in the North Pole. Wish me luck!

Backup your Blogs!!!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

I was sitting here eating some cookies with a nice mug of warm milk and Mrs Claus just asked me if I had a backup of all of the stuff that I keep writing on these blogs. I know Mrs Claus, I'm looking for something. It won't happen in the next 5 minutes. Oh Yes!! I forgot. It did happen that time didn't it. The computer crashed or the server died or something (who knows what) and everything disappeared to who knows where never to return. Thankyou Dear. I'll fix it right now!! I don't know what I'd do without you.

OK.. I've found it!!! This looks good. It will backup your blog daily as well as the RSS and Atom feeds plus all of your graphics and do it all automatically and it's FREE!!! This looks really good!!

Go to BlogBackupOnline. and you just have to sign up like I just did and it does it all automatically every day without you having to remember. It's better to be safe than sorry. I learned that the hard way once when I finally got around to having a spare sleigh otherwise it would have been a very stressful Christmas Eve.

It says here that each blog has 50 MB of storage and all of the major blog platforms are supported. It also says that BlogBackupOnline gives bloggers the ability to restore a blog and transfer a blog to another platform. You can also export your backup file in RSS format.

There I'm done!!! Now I should be a little bit safer (unless they crash too) Ho! Ho! Ho!

Oooopppss!!! Shouldn't Ho! Ho! Ho! and drink milk at the same time.

I'll leave it to you to see if this is useful for you.

As always,

Remember I'm Doing A Walk For Those That Can't Remember

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

I was just visiting John C at his Homless Family's Blog and I wanted to bring something to everyone's attention. This is what John wrote:

Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) grips the lives of many families throughout America, from those feeling it's effects to their family, friends, and neighbors. It's most known and comes to light when local media alerts communities of missing people, however it's what children deal with daily when advocating and making decisions for their parents who have AD.Nobody really knows what causes AD, but it's symptoms revolve around parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. The most prevalant and well known symptom is Dementia, a progressive loss of cognitive function.

Being a geek like me, it's honestly one of the scariest things possible when so much of what I do relies massively on this.

In many cities in upcoming months thousands of people will converge to Memory Walk and make a difference, and the Alzheimer's Association is taking great strides for people to help through donating, walking as an individual or as a team, and even becoming a Team Captain.

It's easy enough that I found MY local walk, set up my registration, and will myself be leading 'Team HIJ' itself! Will I stop Alzheimer's Disease dead in it's tracks? Not alone. But I can ask people to check my page there, donate through their secured site, get people to walk with me, and get the word out of the walk itself.

Now read close your eyes and think if you can remember what I just wrote. If you can, think of those that can't who've got ADCheck out my page there. If you can't donate, consider mentioning this in your blog. For the moment my goal is a modest $200.00. If I reach that goal, it's going to be increased.

And remember, if you link to my Walk Page as well as this entry, you'll be getting link backs! This is important to me, because I've met a handful of people who are homeless and are in early stages of AD.

What if it was someone you lovedClick it. I'm sitting right there beside you.

Hope you didn't mind me doing this John but you deserve help and that's why we're here.

As always,

Santa ô¿ô

My Buddy, The True Spirit Of Christmas!

Here I am again at Santa's blog. I can't resist coming back here cos it always feels a lot like Christmas over here :) Like I said in an earlier posting, I've always been a fan of Christmas but this post is about a close and good buddy of mine who is practically in love with Christmas. My buddy which some of you might know, Adrian of First Time Dad is to the spirit of Christmas for me.

Ever since I've known him, he has always had this love for the Christmas season. Over the years he has accumulated a whole roomful and I'm not kidding here, of Xmas decorations. You can always see the joy in his eyes whenever it's time to decorate the tree, which I might add is a mighty huge tree. And it never fails to impress me with how he can convert his whole house into something magical. You couldn't walk an inch anywhere around his house without bumping into something Christmassy. It was like living in Santa's house itself ... hehehe ... sorry Santa :)

There were times when I didn't feel like celebrating Christmas due to various personal reasons of my own, but I'd go over to his place and instantly whatever gloom that was residing over me would disappear. He goes out of his way to make you join in the festivities. He is so enthusiastic about Christmas that no matter how low you feel, you will almost always perk up. I was even Santa Claus once at one of his Christmas bashes and it was an honour to be Santa for him (well, actually I was the only one at that time who could fit into the Santa outfit ... LOL!). And at least for a short while, I know how it must feel to be Santa and to be able to give out presents to eager little kids with their eyes open wide :)

Gosh I can't wait for Christmas:D

Santa's Award 4 Excellence - Kim

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

I thought today I might continue with the handing out of my Santa Award 4 Excellence. Believe me, this award won't be plastered all over the Bloggoshere. It is a personal award that I am giving to those who touch me personally. An award for being who you are.. rather than what your blog looks like or even what you write about. It is my personal thanks to you for... being you!!!

Today I would like to award Kim Barker from Laketrees. Kim is a sweet, kind, caring and gentle lady who has shown me nothing but kindness and committment. She enjoys who she is and celebrates her talents in a wonderful way. What more could anyone ask.

Today.. is your day Kim. Welcome to my exclusive Excellence Club. You are very welcome and you deserve it. Well done!!

Christmas Art # 1

Since Santa kindly asked me to be a co author here at
Santa's Community Blog....I have been wondering what to post .....
I have decided to highlight some of the artists who painted Christmas.......

Here is my first acclaimed artist and one of my all time favourites.....

NORMAN ROCKWELL

Santa's HelpersThe Saturday Evening Post Cover - December 2, 1922

Rockwell's technical skill reflects the Christmas spirit perfectly.
Perhaps no other artist is more associated with the spirit and tradition of Christmas than the beloved American illustrator Norman Rockwell (1894-1978).
His 1952 watercolor "Trimming the Tree" captures the joy and family fun of the holidays with warmth and humor. Year after year, it is bound to bring smiles as family members gather to share their own special memories and Christmas traditions.

Filling the Stockings, ©1954, Hallmark Cards, Inc.

In this charming Christmas picture, the children are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa and his elves, only to miss the magical event by falling asleep once again...Shhh, be careful not to wake them!!

An Honour

Wow, I'm actually totally thrilled. Santa has given me this honour of letting me do postings on his Santa Community Site :) I'm ecstatic, delighted, excited even :D

It was a nice surprise to check my email this morning and see a note from Santa that linked me here and now I am actually making a post on the site of THE MAN himself ... Boy, Santa you're the best!

Christmas is the best time of the year for me. Ever since I was a kid and knew what Christmas meant (well, the loads of presents I got did play an important part in making it my best time of the year ... LOL!) it has always been something I look forward to every year. And I still do believe in Santa Claus by the way ... hehehe ... you heard that Santa, I'm sure that at least deserves a nice big new SUV, k? LOL!

Thanx Santa, for the opportunity to say a few words here :) Will be back with more Christmas stories soon ...

Christmas Related Facts

Here are some Christmas related facts that will arouse your interest :

  1. In the Ukraine, if you find a spider web in the house on Christmas morning, it is believed to be a harbinger of good luck! There once lived a woman so poor, says a Ukrainian folk tale, that she could not afford Christmas decorations for her family. One Christmas morning, she awoke to find that spiders had trimmed her children’s tree with their webs. When the morning sun shone on them, the webs turned to silver and gold. An artificial spider and web are often included in the decorations on Ukrainian Christmas trees.

  2. At Christmas, it is traditional to exchange kisses beneath the mistletoe tree. In ancient Scandinavia, mistletoe was associated with peace and friendship. That may account for the custom of "kissing beneath the mistletoe".

  3. 'Klaxon' is a name that does not belong to one of Santa’s reindeer. A klaxon is actually a powerful electric horn. Its name comes from a German word meaning "shriek".

  4. In many households, part of the fun of eating Christmas pudding is finding a trinket that predicts your fortune for the coming year. For instance, finding a coin means you will become wealthy. A ring means you will get married; while a button predicts bachelorhood. The idea of hiding something in the pudding comes from the tradition in the Middle Ages of hiding a bean in a cake that was served on Twelfth Night. Whoever found the bean became "king" for the rest of the night.

  5. Frumenty was a spiced porridge, enjoyed by both rich and poor. It was a forerunner of modern Christmas puddings. It is linked in legend to the Celtic god Dagda, who stirred a porridge made up of all the good things of the earth.

  6. In Greek legend, malicious creatures called Kallikantzaroi sometimes play troublesome pranks at Christmas time. In order to get rid of them, salt or an old shoe is burnt. The pungent burning stench drives off, or at least helps discourage, the Kallikantzaroi. Other techniques include hanging a pig’s jawbone by the door and keeping a large fire so they can’t sneak down the chimney.

  7. The poinsettia is a traditional Christmas flower. In Mexico (its original birthplace), the poinsettia is known as the "Flower of the Holy Night".

  8. Louis Prang, a Bavarian-born lithographer who came to the USA from Germany in the 19th century, popularized the sending of printed Christmas cards. He invented a way of reproducing color oil paintings, the "chromolithograph technique", and created a card with the message "Merry Christmas" as a way of showing it off.

  9. The "Urn of Fate" is part of the Christmas celebrations in many Italian households. The Urn of Fate is brought out on Christmas Eve. It holds a wrapped present for everyone. The mother tries her luck first, then the others in turn. If you get a present with your name on it, you keep it; otherwise, you put it back and try again.

  10. In Sweden, a common Christmas decoration is the Julbukk, a small figurine of a goat. It is usually made of straw. Scandinavian Christmas festivities feature a variety of straw decorations in the form of stars, angels, hearts and other shapes, as well as the Julbukk.

1004776-610167-thumbnail.jpg

Join us on Wednesday, August 22, which is tomorrow, as we welcome bestselling author Cheryl Kaye Tardif. As part of her 'Touring the World' virtual book tour, Cheryl will be stopping by Climate of our Future to share her thoughts about her recent Amazon bestseller Whale Song, a novel about love, lies, tragedy, sacrifice and forgiveness that will change the way you view life ... and death.

She will also be discussing her own unique "global warming" strategies, as related to her novel and her life experiences.

1004806-555029-thumbnail.jpgYou don't want to miss this!

And if that isn't incentive enough, Cheryl has told us that some of her hosts are selected randomly as "giveaways." This means she could be giving away one of her novels on our site. It's a mystery -- we don't even know!!

Next 2 for My Santa's Award 4 excellence

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone.

Today is a wonderful day. Mrs Claus is in the kitchen with her helper elves baking all kinds of wonderful treats for all of us. The aromas coming from Mrs Claus kitchen are making my stomach growl. It can't wait!! I can't wait!!! I can taste those cookies and fruit pies already.

I want to share my wonderful feeling today with two more people who have touched me with their kindness and consideration of other people. That's what this award is all about. It is my personal thanks from my heart to you for thanks for you being who you are. It isn't about what you write or say or how good your blog looks. I have the Santa Certified Award for that. This award is for you personally with my thanks.

Firstly I would like to thanks Marzie. her kindness shines through continually for all of us to see. I can't help but be impressed by the way she also keeps on doing meme after meme with a smile and no complaint. You are a saint. You are a kind sweet person that I admire very much. Thankyou Marzie.

Next I would like to award Adrian from First Time Dad. Thank goodness he doesn't really look like Homer Simpson. When I first started blogging, Adrian was the first person to say hello. I have always appreciated his kindness and friendship and am continually impressed by his love for his cute little daughter.

Thankyou both of you. You have touched Santa with your kindness.

As always, Santa

Nice Matters Award

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone

I would like to thank my friend Adrian from First Time Dad for this award. I am very thankful and I'm not even sure if I deserve it as I am just doing what I do. It is wonderful to have the acceptance and recognition that what I write has a positive effect on those that read these pages. It's nice to thought of as a kind blogger.

As always,

Santa
