November already

The stores are all decorated beautifully
Greedy little kids have their mile long list
Parents are getting flustered because of bills
The stock market and Dow are down
What to do, what to do.

Why not give God a chance
we don't have to be so materialistic
we can have a tree and lovely dinner
We could invite friends that have
no other place to go. Buy something
small for each other and donate
to some others. Christmas is
love, and sharing, and friendship

Stop using credit cards entirely
put a few dollars aside now if you can
we don't have to outshine each other
all of us need to take a step back
the economy is down...we don't have
to be. Sharing is what it's about
Bake some cookies and give them
as gifts. Make some different olive oils
and put in pretty bottles. Fudge is
always welcome. Anything, anything
home made. Just be happy we all
made it to another Christmas
